How-To:

Change a staff Member's Password.

Description:

Sometimes a new staff member will lose their invite email, or even forget their password, or maybe you want to prevent someone from logging in to the Job-Dox system. This article will help you change their password. Employees of Job-Dox cannot lookup passwords. Please contact your sales representative or send an email sales@job-dox.com if you have any questions.

Process:

  1. Click on the Users icon in the menu bar at the top right. If this icon is not visible, try switching to a device with a larger screen, or click on the menu bottom in the top-right corner.
  2. Find the user in the list on the left, and select them. If you have permissions to make these changes, you will see a pencil icon in the top right corner. Click on it.
  3. At the bottom of that new window, you will see the "Change Password" section. You will need to type in the user's new password twice, then YOUR password once to verify your identity.
  4. Click "Save" at the bottom and the user's password will be immediately changed.

Validate:

Your staff member should immediately be able to log in to Job-Dox. You will want to ensure they are using their entire email address to log in, and the new password you just assigned, of course.
